Early Start To The Year
By S HURLEY 13 Mar, 2017
February has been such a busy month, it's been just like the summer and there seems to be no let up with March either! We have had Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries and Corporate Functions to cater for, not to mention the many tastings that we have had too! We have been all over the country sharing our catering expertise. We have been to Cornwall, Portsmouth, Gloucester, Cambridge, Edinburgh, London and of course Essex! We are truly a Nationwide Company!!
At Work In The Garden
By S HURLEY 05 Feb, 2017
It maybe cold and damp out side; but best to get out in the kitchen garden now and start pruning all the fruit tress! We have many different fruit trees growing in our kitchen garden ranging from Apricots to Peaches to Plums to Apples. Taking care of these trees is imperative to keep away pests and diseases, otherwise it is a waste of time being there. So what do we use the fruits from the trees for, I here you ask? Well these fruits will be used for jams, chutneys, compotes, pies, crumbles, sauces and Gin! The many apples that we produce are used for making apple sauce for all the hog roasts that we provide throughout the year. It may interest you to know that we have already provided 2 hog roasts already this year? Seems as though that even the cold damp weather doesn't stave off from having a tasty hog roast for an event!

After last year being so busy I decided, "How could I better promote caterers etc?" So I decided to write and add a blog to my website. Which is really cool, as this is the first time I have attempted such a thing! It's really quite interesting to write this and hopefully it will be of interest to read this too?! So, the blog is to let you know, what we are upto in caterers etc and also to give you a bit of an incite to me too! Personally I have been trying out 'Dry January'; as I am keen in keeping fit, I though this would be well worth a go after the busy December we had, not to mention the number of rich foods I've sampled and eaten along the way! It's been a little tough, but have to say is now quite enjoyable! what with drinking more juices, occasionally drinking green tea and I have noticed the wider range of non-alcoholic beverages that are available and so many more than there used to be! We have had a large number of events this January, ranging from Finger Buffets to Hog Roasts to Private Dining. Please keep visiting this Blog, the site, our FB page and Instagram for more pics and images of what we have been producing and serving! Also, keep visiting to see what is being grown and harvested within the kitchen garden! Right now, we are working hard on cultivating the grounds and getting the soil rich for sowing the seedlings for this year's crops for the events to come!
